Accounts Manager

We are looking for a Full-Time Accounts Manager to join our Bury St Edmunds office. In this role, you will support our client managers by handling a diverse portfolio of clients and addressing their accounting and tax needs.

To be considered for the position, you must be qualified with

Proven track record with at least 3 years in accounting or finance

Strong understanding of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)

Relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

The roles and responsibilities of this position include:

  • Oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion of accounting and tax services.
  • Prepare and review detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other key financial documents.
  • Ensure clients’ compliance with tax regulations, including preparation and submission of tax returns and advice on tax-efficient strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance accounting processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery and professional development.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing clear financial insights and recommendations.
