Making Tax Digital Accountants
Starting in 2026, any self-employed business, sole trader, or landlord with an income over £50,000 will be required to comply with MTD rules. Those earning over £30,000 will follow suit from April 2027, with timelines for other small businesses to be reviewed in the future.
We won’t sugarcoat it—this will mean a lot more work. But don’t worry; MyTaxDoc is here to handle it all for you.

Will I Still Be Able to Submit My Self-Assessment Tax Return Direct to the HMRC Website?
Under the new rules, you will no longer be able to submit your self-assessment tax return directly through the HMRC website, as is currently the case. Instead, you’ll need to use HMRC-approved software or engage an accountant who can manage that for you.
To add to the changes, manual record-keeping will also be a thing of the past. Every transaction related to your business or self-employment must be recorded and submitted digitally, in a specific format approved by HMRC. Yikes!
