Accounts Senior – Full Time
We’re seeking a full-time accounts senior for our Bury St Edmunds office to aid our client managers with a diverse range of clients and their accounting and tax requirements.
To be considered for the position, you must be qualified with:
✓ ACA or ACCA and possess practice experience.
✓ have experience with Xero, Sage, Freeagent, and Quickbooks.
✓ The salary for this role can go up to £55k depending on your experience.
✓ We offer fully flexible results-based working, which means there are no fixed hours or days to work.
✓ You can work when and where you like, and there’s unlimited annual leave.
The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Preparing accounts and corporate and personal tax returns to review stage with minimal review points and no manager assistance.
- You will also review management accounts, basic share change paperwork, and pre-creation of advanced share paperwork.
- You’ll help junior team members with their queries, delegate tasks to the appropriate team members, and prepare the accountant’s reference for clients.
- Other responsibilities include dealing with ad-hoc client queries, identifying areas of improvement in client records, and identifying new services to aid clients, such as bookkeeping, VAT review, and DLA review.
- You must achieve quantity and quality KPI’s as set out by the business, assist with first reviews of junior team accounts and final VAT returns, and provide feedback to junior team members when bookkeeping errors are identified.
- You’ll also respond to, liaise with, and contact clients where necessary.
- This role can be fully remote, but you must be based in the UK.
